Cawdor House

Cawdor House is situated in the centre of Nairn, and has the perfect combination of easy access to the amenities of the town, whilst being in a quiet street. The house was built in 1851, as the Manse for the Free Church. It has some historical distinction, as it was the first purpose-built Manse for the Free Church in Scotland.
Surrounded by high stone walls, the mature garden is the perfect sheltered spot for an evening drink in the sun, under the apple trees. Over the last 10 years, the house has been renovated and adapted, painted and updated, returning the house to somewhere near its former glory. Original features such as the magnificent marble fireplace in the sitting room once again take centre stage.
This 4 star guest house offers a warm friendly Highland welcome from your hosts with comfort and quality being a priority.

The OwnerS

Cawdor House is a family-run business. We are a German couple who were searching for somewhere which would give us a better quality of life and we have certainly found it here in Nairn.

As soon as we set foot in Cawdor House for the first time, we knew it was the right place for us and for our guests because it has such a positive atmosphere.

As a former deputy general manager of one of the biggest hotel chains, Anika brought her business skills and experience to this new venture, while photographer Andreas puts his heart and soul into welcoming all our guests. Together we feel we make a great team with an emphasis on quality, comfort and a friendly atmosphere. We are sure you will feel at home with us at Cawdor House.
